ASME SA299 Grade B Carbon Steel

ASME SA299 Grade B is a manganese-silicon carbon steel plate for use in welder boilers and other pressure vessels. ASME SA299 carbon steel under this specification are produced in two grades: SA299 Gr.A and SA299 Gr.B. ASME SA299 Grade B steel is widely used for manufacturing pressure and boiler equipments. Plates of this standard under this thickness of 50 mm are normally supplied in as-rolled condition. Plates may be ordered normalized or stress relieved, or both. Plates over 50 mm in thickness shall be normalized.

Heat Treatment:
ASME SA299 plates 2 inch [50mm] and under in thickness are normally supplied in the as-rolled condition. Plates may be ordered normalized or stress relieved, or both.  ASME SA299 steel plates products over 2 inch  [50mm] in thickness shall be normalized.
