It is used for heat-treating equipment such as baskets, trays and fixtures, in chemical and petrochemical processing the alloy for making heat exchangers and other piping systems in nitric acid media and even in nuclear power plants for steam-generator tubing. Other uses of Incoloy 800 include production of paper pulp, digester liquid heaters, in making appliances for sheathing of electric heating elements and in petroleum processing for manufacturing heat exchangers.
