Alloy C2000 (UNS N06200) along with the other C-type alloy (UNS N10276) is a quite versatile Ni-Cr-Mo alloy with excellent resistance to pitting stress-corrosion cracking and crevice corrosion.The technical objective of the design of alloy C 2000 was even greater versatility as compared with the traditional Ni-Cr-Mo alloys. C 2000was accomplished by use of a high chromium content (23%)a high molybdenum content (16%)and a small but effective addition of copper (1.6%).
