MP 159 is a Nickel-Cobalt based multiphase alloy. MP 159 combination of properties enables ultra-high strength, toughness, good ductility and excellent corrosion resistance. Through work strengthening and aging MP 159 alloy exhibits ultimate tensile strength levels in excess of 1830 MPa. MP 159 is used in many different industries from use in prosthetic devices, jet engine components, fasteners, marine applications to petroleum industry applications.

MP159 alloy Fabrication and Heat Treatment:
Cold Working of MP159 alloy: MP 159 is ductile in nature and capable of being cold worked using conventional methods.
MP159 alloy Annealingļ¼MP 159 can be annealed at 1177°C (2150°F) and then rapidly air cooled.
Aging of MP159 alloy steel
The optimum hot tensile strength of the MP 159 is enhanced by cold working (45-50% reduction of area) and aging at 663°C (1225°F) for 4 hours, which is then followed by air cooling.
