What are the properties of A387 Gr5 CL2 plate
A387 Gr5 CL2 plate is suitable for welding chromium-molybdenum alloy steel plates for boilers and high-temperature pressure vessels.
This steel is currently the most widely used heat-strength steel and hydrogen-resistant steel in the world. Due to the addition of alloying elements such as Cr and Mo to low carbon steel, and strict control of the content of impurity elements such as P, As, Sb, and Sn, the comprehensive mechanical properties of A387 Gr5 CL2 steel alloy plate are greatly improved. A387 Gr5 CL2 material has good high temperature mechanical properties, high temperature oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, good toughness, process performance and welding performance. The steel is widely used in petrochemical and other large-scale core equipment with harsh use conditions and complex corrosive media, such as hydrogenation reactors, thermal high pressure separators and other equipment.

Application range
A387 Gr5 CL2 alloy steel plate can resist the corrosion produced in the process of petroleum cracking. Under high temperature conditions, the steel with oxidation resistance, sufficient high temperature strength and good heat resistance is called heat resistant steel. The A387 Gr5 CL2 steel belongs to alloy steel. It has good oxidation resistance at about 650 degrees Celsius, good thermal strength below 600 degrees Celsius, and good shock absorption and thermal conductivity. It is widely used in steam turbines.
