Q345qC, Q345qD, and Q345qE steel plate are structural steel plates for bridges. This GB/T 714-2015 Chinese standard applies to structural steel plates for bridges with a thickness not greater than 150mm.
Q-The initial letter of the Chinese pinyin of "Qu" for the yield strength of bridge steel;
345--Specify the minimum yield strength value in MPa;
q--The first letter of the Chinese pinyin of the word "bridge" for bridge steel;
C, D, E-quality grades are C, D, E.

a. The steel should be delivered in any delivery state of hot rolling, normalizing, thermo-mechanical rolling and quenching and tempering (including online quenching + high temperature tempering), and it shall be indicated in the quality certificate.
b. The steel delivered in the normalized state should be subjected to high temperature tempering treatment (tempering temperature not less than 580℃) when it is cooled in other media with a faster cooling rate than in the air.
c. For bare steel with atmoSPHEric corrosion resistance, delivery should be made in any of the above delivery states except normalizing. When using a cooling method that is faster than the cooling rate in air, tempering should be performed.
Scope of application
Q345qC steel, Q345qD, Q345qE plates are structural steel plates for bridges. It is required to have high strength, toughness and to withstand the load and impact of rolling stock, and have good fatigue resistance, certain low temperature toughness and atmospheric corrosion resistance. The steel for tie-welding bridges should also have good welding performance and low notch sensitivity.
