JIS S35C Steel under JIS G4051 Standard
JIS S35C steel under JIS G4051 standard is a medium strength steel for machine structural use. This material is available in rolled or normalised condition. JIS S35C steel products are usually supplied as plates, sheets, strips, square bar, or round bar or flat. JIS Steel S35C is excelling in weldability & machinability, and S35C steels can be subjected to various heat treatments.
JIS G4051 standard is one of Japanese Industrial Standards which specifies the carbon steels for machine structural use manufactured by hot forming, such as hot rolling or hot forging, ordinarily to be used after further process of forging, cutting and heat treat-ment.

Application of JIS S35C Steel Plates
JIS S35C grade carbon steel is widely used in machinery manufacturing, good mechanical properties of this steel. But S35C Grade Steel is a medium carbon steel, hardened performance is not good, 35 steel can be hardened to HRC32 ~ 36. So if you need to surface hardness, but also hopes to play JIS S35C steel superior mechanical properties, often JIS S35C steel surface carburizing, so you can get the required surface hardness. JIS S35C steel are mainly used for a variety of motor shaft, automotive parts.
