Malay United Steel officially entered the stage of full output
The company's 3.5 million tons of joint steel project in Malaysia 2*1080m3 ironmaking project 2# blast furnace was successfully ignited and trial production. This marks the first modernized full-process integrated steel plant invested and built by the mainland along the “Belt and Road” overseas, and Malaysia's largest steel plant officially entered the stage of full output.
The project is an innovative exploration of capacity cooperation between China and Malaysia in the “Belt and Road” initiative, and has a demonstration effect on promoting bilateral economic trade and solving local labor.
It is reported that in November 2016, the 2*1080m3 blast furnace project of the ironmaking unit broke ground and has lasted for 21 months. Shanghai Baoye successfully built the main body of the two blast furnaces with the largest volume, the most advanced technology and the fastest speed in Malaysia and realized the production. It created the “Kuandan Speed” in Malaysia and became synonymous with “China Efficiency”. The United Steel (Dama) Group Company highly appreciates the tough style and refined and standardized management demonstrated by the participants during the construction process.
It is understood that the ironmaking unit is also constructing two 1080m3 blast furnaces at the same time, with an annual output of 2.5326 million tons of molten iron (2 × 1,266,300 tons), mainly including the tank system, loading system, furnace top system, furnace system and other single monomers. Construction and joint commissioning.
At 20:00 on August 23, the 1# continuous casting of the steelmaking continuous casting project of the United Steel Project in Malaysia was successfully put into operation, marking the completion of the steelmaking project. No. 1 continuous casting is a 4-machine 4-flow rectangular blank. The production work starts from the first package of molten steel, and passes through the large-pack rotary table, vibration crystallizer, fan-shaped section, tension leveler, flame cutting machine and conveying roller. .
The joint steel project of Malaysia's joint steel project started on December 5, 2016. On June 12, 2018, the 1# converter and 2# continuous casting machine were put into operation smoothly. On June 12, one step was put into production, and on August 16th, it was realized. The second step was put into production, and the whole line was put into operation on August 23, which lasted for 20 months. The first phase of the project will design an annual output of 2.6 million tons of rod and wire and H-beam. Upon completion, it will become one of the most competitive steel plants in Southeast Asia.
The joint steel project includes a 75m cast iron machine, two 100-ton top-bottom combined blown converters, a single-station double-car 100-ton LF refining furnace, a 4-machine 4-flow rectangular billet continuous casting machine, and two 7-machine 7 Flowing billet continuous casting machine and supporting public and auxiliary facilities.
After the steelmaking and continuous casting project is put into operation, it will become a large-scale multinational project integrating production, processing, distribution and trade. It is also the top metallurgical project in the same industry in Malaysia with advanced technology and equipment.
According to reports, during the construction of the project, the leaders of the two countries visited the construction site several times. The project is not only a key project for the Malaysian government, but also a major project for China's international capacity cooperation. The project is an innovative exploration of capacity cooperation between China and Malaysia in the “Belt and Road” initiative, and has a demonstration effect on promoting bilateral economic trade and solving local labor.
