60Mn steel with higher hardness and elasticity
60Mn steel is a kind of carbon structural steel with slightly higher hardness, elasticity and hardenability, and good machinability in the annealed state.
60Mn steel plate has slightly higher hardness, elasticity and hardenability. After annealing, the 60Mn steel plate has good machinability, and poor cold deformation plasticity and weldability. It is sensitive to overheating and tends to be brittle to tempering.
After heat treatment and cold drawing hardening, 65Mn plate has higher strength, certain toughness and plasticity; under the same surface condition and complete hardening, the fatigue limit is equivalent to that of alloy springs. However, due to poor hardenability, 60Mn steel is mainly used for springs of smaller sizes, such as pressure regulating springs, force measuring springs, round and square spiral springs in general machinery or drawn into steel wires as springs on small machinery.
65Mn carbon structural steel can be used as a variety of small-size flat and round springs, cushion springs, spring springs, and can also be used to make spring rings, valve springs, clutch springs, brake springs and the main chain of cold low surface tension and low surface energy silicone.
