JIS G3101 SS400 I-beam can be ordinary steel or light, since the cross-sectional dimensions are relatively high, narrow, the cross-sectional moment of inertia of the two main sleeve quite different, therefore, JIS G3101 SS400 I-beam can only be directly used in its general plane of the web within flexural members or lattice force composed of its members. For axial compression members or perpendicular to the plane of the web as well as curved components are not appropriate, it has significant limitations on the scope of application.
