The differencesbetween Q345 steel and Q235 steel

Q235 steel is manufactured for metal structures, and the demand for steel strength, tie rods, connecting rods, hooks, couplers, bolts and nuts, sleeves, shafts and welded parts is not high.

Q345 steel belongs to the 16Mn steel grade and is usually produced in hot-rolled state, hot-rolled steel plate and hot-rolled steel coil/sheet. Q345 steel has comprehensive mechanical properties and welding properties, and good performance in structural applications.

Due to the different alloying element content of Q345 steel and Q235 steel, their applications are also very different.

Q235 steelis widely used in construction and engineering welded structures, to make steel bars or build factory buildings, high voltage transmission towers, bridges, vehicles, boilers, containers, etc.

Q345 steel is a low-alloy structural steel with good mechanical properties, low temperature properties, plasticity and good weldability. Q345 steel is mainly used for low-pressure vessels, fuel tanks, vehicles, cranes, mining machinery, power stations, mechanical parts, building structures, and general metal parts,etc.. Q345steel is always in hot-rolled or normal state, and can be used in areas where the temperature is above -40°C.
