NM400 Wear-Resistant Steel Plate Properties
NM400 steel plate is a high-strength wear-resistant steel plate with high wear resistance. Brinell hardness value of 400 (HBW) is mainly used to protect the occasion or part where wear resistance is required, which will make the equipment last longer and reduce maintenance. Overhaul and downtime, correspondingly reduce the investment of funds.
NM400 Wear-Resistant Steel Plate Properties and Application NM400 wear-resistant steel plate has high wear resistance and good impact performance. It can be cut, bent, welded, etc. It can be connected with other structures by welding, plug welding, bolting, etc. It has time saving in the process of maintenance. NM400 material is widely used in metallurgy, coal, cement, electric power, glass, mining, building materials, brick and tile industries, etc. Compared with other materials, NM400 steel has high cost performance and has been favored by more and more industries and manufacturers.
NM400 Chemical Component Analysis
The chemical composition of the NM400 wear-resistant layer of the alloy has a carbon content of 4 to 5%, a chromium content of 25 to 30%, a volume fraction of Cr7C3 carbide in the metallographic structure of 50% or more, a macrohardness of HRC of 56 to 62, and chromium carbide. The hardness is HV1400 to 1800. Since the carbide is vertically distributed in the wear direction, the wear resistance is more than doubled even when compared with the cast alloy of the same composition and hardness. The wear resistance comparison with several typical materials is as follows:
(1) with low carbon steel; 20 ~ 25: 1
(2) with as-cast high-chromium cast iron; 1.5 to 2.5:1
