16Mo3 steel plate is a pressure vessel EN10028-2 designated grade chrome-molybdenum steel alloy material, which is used as weldable steel in the manufacture of industrial boilers and stainless steel pressure vessels in the oil, gas and chemical industries.
Chemical composition of 16MO3 steel plate
Carbon: 12%-20%
Molybdenum: less than 35%
Manganese: 40%-9%
Phosphorus: less than 0.25%
Copper: less than 30%
Chromium: less than 30%
Nickel: less than 30%
Characteristics of 16MO3 steel plate
Heat resistance;
Preservative;
When the Mn content is less than 5%, the weld metal tolerance is very high;
When the Mn content is greater than 3%, it is very brittle;
When the Mn content is between 60% and 180%, the weld metal has higher strength and toughness.
