A299Gr.A plates and A299Gr.B sheets are widely used for manufacturing pressure and boiler equipments. Plates of ASTM A299 standard under this thickness of 50 mm are normally supplied in as-rolled condition. Plates may be ordered normalized or stress relieved, or both. Plates over 50 mm in thickness shall be normalized.
