ASTM A516Gr70 Carbon Steel Coils
A516Gr70 steel material is more corrosive than de – aerated acid in the intermediate concentration range. Sulphuric acid in ASTM A516 Grade 70 Carbon Steel Coil is sometimes contaminated with chlorides which increases the corrosively of the solution. However, ASTM A516Gr70 carbon steel coils have good resistance, also in chloride contaminated sulphuric acid, especially at high concentrations. Heavily cold worked material such as A516Gr70 coils, however, can have tensile strengths as high as 220,000 psi (1517 MPa).
