ASTM A36, AISI A-36 Steel Plate,It is a low carbon steel that exhibits good strength coupled with formability also known as Hot Rolled A36 Steel Plate is a structural quality steel plate used for welded, bolted, or riveted construction of building and bridges, and for general structural purposes.
ASTM A36 has a yield strength of 36,000 psi and an allowable bending stress of 22,000 psi. The properties of ASTM A36 steel allow it to deform steadily as stress is increased beyond its yield strength.
