Q345R Steel plate

Shanghai Katalor Enterprises Co., Ltd have 5000 tons Q345R steel plate stock every year. Our Q345R steel plate is a kind of pressure vessel special one with yield strength of 345MPa. It has good comprehensive mechanical properties and process performance.  The phosphorus and sulfur content is slightly lower than the low-alloy high-strength steel plate Q345 (16Mn) steel. Besides the higher tensile strength and elongation ratio than Q345 (16Mn) steel,  it also has strong impact toughness.
Delivery condition: hot rolled or normalizing, low alloy steel.

Mechanical properties

 Application field: our Q345R steel plate belongs to the container board boiler one. It is widely used in industries such as petroleum, chemical industry, power stations, boiler, and commonly used to make the reactor, heat changer, separator, airway, propane tanks, boiler gas and liquefied petroleum gas cylinders, etc.
Tips for you in use
一．The operating conditions of the equipment (such as design pressure, design temperature, characteristics of the medium), the welding properties of the materials, the performance of the cold and heat processing, heat treatment and the structure of the vessel must be considered.
二.  Based on the first tip, the economic rationality can be considered.
When the thickness of steel plate is less than 8mm, the carbon steel plate (except multi-layer container) should be chosen other than low-alloy high-strength steel.
三. When the thickness of Q345R steel plate is greater than 60mm, the carbon content can be raised to 0.22%.
四．The elements of niobium, vanadium, titanium can be added into the Q345R, but these content should be filled in the quality certificate, the above 3 elements total content should not be more than 0.050%, 0.10%, and 0.12%.
