What’s grade S275JR ?
Grade S275JR is a European steel grade non-alloy structure steel. It is a common mild steel/carbon steel plate.
S275JR steel meaning: S275JR structural grade (S) carries minimum yield strength of 275 N/mm²m, the JR designation confirms that the steel has undergone longitudinal Chary V-Notch impact testing at 27J (Joules) at room temperature. Other Charpy designations include J0, J2 and K2.
S275JR steel plates are mainly for multiple structural applications e.g. manufacturing plant, machinery, mining equipment and vehicles, excavators, loader, bulldozers, crane, mining hydraulic supports, construction, power plant, sugar mill, palm oil mill, oil and gas, port equipments, fans, drilling rigs.
