Preparation technology and material design of N155 nickel alloy

Preparation technology and material design of N155 nickel alloy

The preparation process and material design of N155 nickel alloy usually include the following aspects:

1. Alloy formula design:
- Selection of base elements: Select the appropriate base elements such as nickel, chromium, cobalt, titanium and aluminum according to the desired properties and application requirements. The content and proportion of these elements will affect the mechanical properties and corrosion resistance of the alloy.
- Adding alloying elements: Some alloying elements can be added to improve the specific properties of the alloy, such as vanadium, molybdenum, niobium and tantalum. The addition of these alloying elements can improve the high temperature strength, creep resistance and thermal fatigue resistance.

2. Material preparation:
- Melting: The alloy raw materials are melted according to the design formula, usually by vacuum induction melting or arc melting.
- Forging/extrusion: forging or extrusion of the alloy blank obtained from smelting to improve the density and mechanical properties of N155 nickel alloy. This step can also be used to adjust the grain structure and shape of the alloy.
- Heat treatment: Through solid solution treatment and aging treatment and other heat treatment methods to refine the alloy grain, adjust the phase composition and improve the mechanical properties of the material.

3. Processing and manufacturing:
- Hot working: N155 nickel alloy has good plasticity and thermal deformation ability, and can be shaped by hot working processes such as forging, rolling and extrusion.
- Machining: For parts with high fine density requirements, machining methods such as milling, turning and drilling can be used.
- Welding and joining: The N155 nickel alloy is joined and assembled using suitable welding methods as required. Common welding methods include arc welding, electron beam welding and laser welding.

In the preparation process of N155 nickel alloy, it is necessary to consider many factors such as alloy formulation design, material preparation and processing manufacturing to obtain the best performance and meet the specific needs of the material. This usually requires experimental verification and optimization to ensure that the prepared alloy meets the expected performance indicators and application requirements.
