What does Q345qD stand for?
The first letter of “Qufu”(yield strength in Chinese spelling);
The minimum value of yield strength in MPa;
q- the first letter of “Qiao”(bridge steelin Chinese spelling);
D- the steel quality is Grade D.
There are three quality levels under Q345q: C, D and E.
GB/T 714-2008 Q345qD grade belongs to structural steel for bridge. The Q345qD steel products are produced in plates thickness less than 150mm, steel sheets, strips and cutting steel parts less than 25.4mm thickness, and steel sections less than 40mm. GB/T 714 Q345qD structural steel plates and sheets are supplied in normalized, thermo-mechanical rolling, quenched and tempered condition. The bridge steel is also featured with atmospheric corrosion resistance.
