1 Scope
1.1 This standard applies to carbon structural steels, steel plates and steel bars for the connection, bolting or welding of bridges, buildings and general structures.
1.2 If it is required to improve internal quality and impact toughness, additional requirements may be applied, but the purchaser should indicate this in the contract.
1.3 For steels to be welded, the welding method suitable for the steel and the intended use of the steel shall be considered.
1.4 For the requirements of 4 or 5 sets of wide flange steel instead of cylinder or compression parts, the user shall specify additional requirements, such as specifying the austenite grain size and Charpy V-notch impact.
1.5 The value expressed in inches per sterling unit or SI <m> unit shall be regarded as the standard value. In this paper, the SI units are listed in parentheses, and the values ​​expressed in each system are not exactly equivalent, so each The system must be used independently. The mixed use of the two systems can lead to inconsistencies with this standard.
